Tools That You Can Use

OK, so I've been rather slack about posting to my blog this semester.  Ah, the perks of being the instructor...  But seriously, I promised you useful information so here goes.

Below are a list of links from the LifeHacker web site.  LifeHacker has a "Five Best" feature where they crowdsource recommendations on different types of software and tools then compile a list of the top five.  Here are some of the more useful ones.

 And just for fun...
I've only tried a few of these, so if you try one and find it really useful, leave a comment here and let us know what you like about it.

Portable Operating Systems are extremely helpful and nice to have. You can use these portable OS to start up a system with OS issues. You can by pass the OS that is on the computer you are on and to the OS that is on your portable device to fix some issues that are within the systems OS. Get tool and a must need for all technicians that are on the travel.
Thank for these links and I hope that more awesome features, like the Portable OS, will be useful in the future.

On a little note, I like Linux OS because you can modify it to your everyday needs. Great for installing tools and software without having to go to your desktop.
